Tennis Career: Played at La Salle University (Philadelphia)

Paddle Career: Director of Racquet Sports at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, NY. Previously worked at Beacon Hill Club and Aronimink Country Club.

Paddle Intro: I started playing paddle about 6-7 years ago at Manufacturers’ Golf and Country Club. JC Cotto, who plays [and runs] a lot of tournaments, introduced me to the sport. I'm grateful to him for that. 

Partners: My main partner recently is the legendary Drew Broderick. [Tomas plays with a variety of partners—Louis Volclair, Tom Murphy, Mikk Irdoja—to name a few.]

Strengths: My defense, mostly. I also love being at the net, love hitting overheads and volleys.

Goals: Last year was a big breakthrough. I made the quarterfinals of Nationals for the first time. I'm looking to make it a little bit deeper.

Bonus Fact: Drew and I had a great experience getting to the finals of the 2022 Boston Open Grand Prix. We basically tortured people along the way. In the final, Johan (du Randt) took it into his own hands to take over the match—he just hit us. It seemed to work.
