Entry Qualifications
All teams will be placed on a waitlist, then moved into the draw based on combined individual NRT points.
Entry Selection
The draw size for the Women's National Championship is 64 teams. When the number of teams on the waitlist exceeds the number of available spots and there is a tie in ranking (either matching NRT points or no NRT points) for the last available spot or spots, the team(s) with the lowest combined PTI will be moved into the tournament. All teams will be notified of entry status on Wednesday, February 26th. Seeding for the National draw will be by NRT points.
Wild Cards
National Ranking Tournaments (NRT) and PTI level Tournaments with a “waitlist only” entry selection are subject to wild card spots, with a wild card available for every 16 teams allowed in a draw. A wild card team must be registered for the tournament by the registration deadline and must be approved by the National Tournament Committee. There are a maximum of 4 wild card spots available for the National Championship draw. If no wild card spots are used, the draw will be filled out by the next eligible team/s.
Format
All main draw matches and all back draw matches will be 2 out of 3 sets with regular scoring and a 12 point tie break at 6-6. In the main draw final, at 6-6, play will continue until one teams wins by two games.
Favor
Favors are not included in the entry fee for this event, however, Nationals merchandise will be available for purchase prior to the tournament.
