All teams for the National Championship and Challenger draws will be registered/waitlisted in one pool of teams. All teams who do not qualify for Championship Draw based on combined NRT points will remain on the waitlist and then placed in the Challenger Draw based on combined NRT points.
Entry Selection
Draw size for the National Championship is 64 teams. All teams will be placed on a waitlist, then moved into the draw based on combined individual NRT points. All teams will be notified of entry status by Wednesday, February 25th. Seeding for the National Championship draw will be by NRT points.
Format
All main draw and all back draw matches will be 2 out of 3 sets with no ad scoring (server's choice) and a 7 point tie break at 6-6. In the main draw final, at 6-6, play will continue until one teams wins by two games.
HOF Dinner (Optional)
Thursday, March 5 – Player Events & Hall of Fame Dinner
Courts at Canoe Brook Country Club will be available for practice matches and warm-ups on Thursday. Please check in at the paddle hut when you arrive. Players will have access to locker rooms in both the CBCC Performance Center and the Clubhouse.
All players are invited to a complimentary Player Cocktail Party on Thursday evening at CBCC in The 1901 Tavern beginning at 5:30 p.m. Paddle attire is welcome; no jeans, please.
The Hall of Fame Induction Dinner, honoring Jared Palmer and Drew Broderick, will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. Cocktail or country club attire is suggested; jackets for men are welcome but not required.
Players may register to attend the dinner at a subsidized rate of $75, thanks to generous Hall of Fame dinner sponsors.
Please note: Dinner seating is limited and expected to sell out. We strongly encourage early registration if you plan to attend.
Wild Cards
National Ranking Tournaments (NRT) and PTI level Tournaments with a “waitlist only” entry. All National Ranking Tournaments (NRT) and PTI level Tournaments are subject to wild card spots, with a wild card available for every 16 teams allowed in a draw. A wild card team must be registered for the tournament by the registration deadline and must be approved by the National Tournament Committee. Wild card requests may come from tournament directors, the APTA, or players themselves, and should be requested prior to the close of registration. If no wild card spots are used, the draw will be filled out by the next eligible team/s.
