Tournament Co-director Sara MacKay writes: “Milwaukee, Wisconsin hosted the first inaugural Brew City Open on November 16th, where players came together from Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Washington D.C. for fierce competition and camaraderie with some local Milwaukee flavor! The tournament kicked off in style at The Town Club in Fox Point, with local crowds cheering everyone on. The action moved to The Cedar Club in Cedarburg for an unforgettable finish under the stars. With music bumping and bonfires crackling, the energy was nothing short of electric. Many new friends were made over great paddle matchups, as well as local brews, a Bloody Mary bar, and who could forget the shot ski?
The Milwaukee paddle community is incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to play! The men's and women's 16-team draws were both full, with a combined 12 teams on the waiting list. With such an incredible response, we look forward to what next year will bring. A huge thank you to everyone who brought their good vibes to make the inaugural tournament an unforgettable experience.
